PICNIC ON THE GREEN - May 2023

The annual Picnic on the Green took place on Woodcote Green on Sunday 7th May, on the Coronation weekend.

There was some bunting hung from the trees to indicate our solidarity with outdoor celebrations around the country but, basically, it was our annual picnic. Much sharing of food and drink took place, new friendships were formed and a good time was had. At maximum, about fifty people, of all ages, took part. A couple of our local police team looked in and had to check the cakes, of course. Most of the local residents had come from streets bordering or near the green. We were happy to welcome those who had come from further way.
